Fibroblast Healing Time: Your Complete Day-by-Day Recovery Guide
Published 27 March 2026 | 8 min read | By Ana Belén, Master Fibroplasma Technician
One of the most common questions we hear from clients is: "How long does fibroblast take to heal?" Understanding the recovery timeline helps you plan your treatment around your schedule and know exactly what to expect at each stage. Here's your complete day-by-day guide to fibroblast healing.
The Short Answer
Days for crusts to shed
Weeks for pink skin to fade
Weeks for full results
Day-by-Day Fibroblast Healing Timeline
Day 1: Treatment Day
Immediately after treatment, you'll see small carbon dots on the skin surface — these are the micro-thermal points created by the plasma pen. The treated area will feel warm and look slightly red, similar to a mild sunburn. Some swelling may begin, particularly around the eyes if the eye area was treated.
- Apply the aftercare cream as directed by Ana Belén
- Keep the area clean and dry
- Do not touch, scratch, or pick at the treated area
- Sleep with your head elevated if eyelids or under-eyes were treated
Days 2–3: Swelling Peak
Swelling typically peaks during days 2 and 3. For facial treatments — especially around the eyes — this is the most noticeable stage. The carbon dots begin to darken and form small crusts. This is completely normal and a sign that healing is progressing.
- Cold compresses can help reduce swelling (do not apply ice directly)
- Continue aftercare cream application
- Avoid strenuous activity and excessive heat
- Stay out of direct sunlight
Days 4–7: Crusting Phase
Swelling subsides and the carbon crusts become more prominent. They may feel tight or slightly itchy — this is normal. Do not pick, scratch, or pull at the crusts. Removing them prematurely can cause scarring and pigmentation issues.
- Crusts will begin to loosen and shed naturally from around day 5
- Continue gentle aftercare cream application
- Avoid swimming, saunas, and steam rooms
- No makeup on the treated area
Days 7–14: Crusts Shedding
The carbon crusts naturally fall off during this period. Smaller treatment areas (individual spots, small wrinkles) may shed by day 7, while larger areas (full face, stomach) can take up to 14 days. The skin underneath will appear pink — this is new, healthy skin.
- Let crusts fall off naturally — never force them
- Once crusts have shed, begin using SPF 30+ sunscreen daily
- You can start using mineral-based makeup once crusts are fully gone
- The pinkness is temporary and will fade over the coming weeks
Weeks 2–4: Pink Phase
The newly revealed skin may appear pink or slightly darker than surrounding skin. This is a normal part of the healing process and gradually fades. Sun protection is critical during this phase to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
- Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen every morning — non-negotiable
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure
- Moisturise regularly to support healing
- You'll start noticing initial tightening results
Weeks 4–12: Collagen Regeneration
This is where the real transformation happens. Your body is actively producing new collagen and elastin fibres in the treated area. The skin continues to tighten, firm, and improve in texture progressively. Many clients report noticing ongoing improvement throughout this entire period.
- Results improve week by week as new collagen forms
- Continue daily sun protection
- Maintain a good skincare routine
- Final results visible around the 12-week mark
